Dad was renowned for being late no Matter what - a train set made for the three boys for Christmas, could not be used until after dinner as the paint was still wet! Dad was giving Wendy away on her wedding day – 2.30 at Pett Church, Dad was still washing his hair at 2.15. On another occasion we had hired a Dormobile to go to a family wedding –late as usual Dad, three sons, and dogs Trinket & Spike hit the sleeping policemen outside the Church – all the cupboards opened and pots and pans crashed to the floor. We rushed into the Church where the service had already started, then on to the reception. Dad hopped into the driver’s seat in his best suit only to find Trinket or Spike had left a deposit on the seat!
