I will always remember Grandad Jim's twinkling eyes, his laugh, and the smile hiding behind his beard. I will remember his unique smell of tobacco and clay dust, and his hands that worked magic. Above all I will remember his great creativity, he was an artist that could take a lump of earth and form graceful lines, animated animal characters adorned with beautiful floral designs. He could take a utilitarian item and turn it into a work of art that was a joy to have around, in this way he has touched the lives of thousands of people who still have a piece of him displayed proudly on a shelf or used daily in their lives. I feel proud and honored to have had him in my life, an inspiration to my own creativity. He will be greatly missed.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
