Love you always Grandad, rest in piece xxx

Grandad was a caring and creative man. My early memories, were of visiting him at the pottery and seeing all the wonderful things he created. Lisa and I loved exploring the old monastery and watching Grandad paint the pots and filling the large kilns with exciting creations. Grandad was so passionate about the pottery and you could see he put his life and sole into the place. He had so many wonderful items in the shop, each and every item creative and different in its own way. I loved the animals he would make and I treasured a tiny ceramic mouse he gave me for Christmas one year. Although it was only in the nursing home, I am glad Grandad got to meet Alexis before he passed away. I remember the first time I took Alexis to meet him, you could see the joy in his face when she sat on his bed gabbling away in her own baby language. I am sure he realised who she was and loved having her there. It is so sad to have lost such a wonderful loving Grandad at an early age, but I am also pleased he can now rest in piece. I will love and remember him always. Love Jo xxx
